Why I Do What I Do

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told not to pursue a career in the arts because I wouldn't make any money. For most of my early to mid-twenties, I chased advanced degrees and "lucrative" careers paths. Although I was able to get to a place where my bank account was satisfied, I realized I wasn't.

As an actor in New York City who is actively pursuing a career in musical theatre, I understand what it takes to make it. I firmly believe no artist should have to starve to do what they love.

Professional & Academic Experience

I currently serve as the Director of Diversity & Cultural Creative Initiatives and a faculty member at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy. Prior to moving to New York, I served 6+ years in the Federal Government in the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs and Global Publishing Solutions.

My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Arts Management from George Mason University, a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies & Communications from Mount St. Mary’s University, and a Certificate in Musical Theatre from The American Musical & Dramatic Academy. I am currently working on a certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University as well as a certification in Intimacy Direction with IDC Professionals.
